On the morning of August 22, 2025, the 2025 Guangzhou Medical and Health Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as "Medical Expo") grandly opened in Guangzhou. This Medical Expo is hosted by the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality and organized by the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission and the Guangzhou Municipal Cooperation Office. As the core professional exhibition of the 33rd Guangzhou Expo, this Medical Expo takes "Develop New-Quality Productive Forces and Share a New Future of Health" as its theme. By building a "two-way empowerment" platform for the medical and health industry, it promotes the innovation of biomedicine and the coordinated development of the industry, injects new vitality into the medical and health industry, and opens a new future of health.

01 Grand Scale, Elite Gathering, Jointly Celebrate the Grand Event

This Medical Expo has an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters. More than 200 exhibitors in 3 exhibition halls and 18 exhibition areas made a neat appearance, covering all-industry-chain entities such as medical institutions, biomedicine enterprises, high-end medical equipment enterprises, third-party service institutions, third-party transformation platforms, and financial institutions. During the expo, 19 high-end conference activities were brilliant, and elites from all walks of life gathered together. Leaders from the Pharmaceutical Policy Department of the National Health Commission; relevant experts from the Chronic Disease Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Health Development Research Center of the National Health Commission, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Branch of the Drug Evaluation and Inspection Center of the National Medical Products Administration, and the China Population and Development Research Center; heads of multiple departments such as the Provincial Medical Products Administration, Health Commission, Medical Security Bureau, and the deputy mayor in charge of the municipal government and other relevant heads visited the site to provide policy guidance and support for the Medical Expo. Leaders from the Hong Kong Department of Health and the Registration Office of the Macao Drug Administration visited the site in person to inject new momentum into Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao medical cooperation. Top expert academicians, as well as presidents/vice presidents in charge of more than 50 top three hospitals in the city and experts from more than 20 institutions in other provinces and cities gathered together to share the latest research results and practical experience. CEO-level executives of enterprises such as Guangdong China Resources, Guangdong Unicom, BeiGene, Akeso, Mindray Medical, Huawei, Boson Quantum (Quantum Computing), InnoCore International (Organoids), and Tonray Bio (Nuclear Medicine), as well as the person in charge of Asia-Pacific Affairs of the Galien Foundation gathered at the site to jointly create a new ecosystem of the medical industry with diversified integration and coordinated development.

The Medical Expo invited leaders from relevant departments at the national, provincial, municipal, and district levels to participate in the conference to provide face-to-face guidance and support for enterprises. The Guangzhou Municipal (District) Biomedical Industry Policy Promotion and Exchange Activity held on the afternoon of August 22 invited the Guangzhou Municipal and District Biomedical Industry Offices to interpret policies, helping enterprises better understand and utilize existing policies, fully enjoy policy dividends, and solve practical problems in enterprise development. The Medical Expo is also a resource docking platform. A series of cutting-edge technological achievements such as gene editing, cell therapy, organoids, organ chips, nuclear medicine, 3D printing, biological manufacturing, and synthetic biology are gathered here. They are not only the future direction of industrial development but also the key force to promote innovative drugs from scratch and from good to better.

04 "Four-Level Pavilion Tour + Alliance", Opening a New Chapter of Hospital-Enterprise Cooperation

As the first Medical Expo in the country led by the health department, the Guangzhou Medical Expo innovatively launched a four-level pavilion tour model. Relying on the first government-led Guangzhou Research Hospital Alliance (referred to as the Alliance) in the country, it accurately connects hospitals and enterprises, opens a new model of hospital-enterprise cooperation, and injects strong momentum into the coordinated development of the industry.
