From August 23rd to 25th, 2024, the 2024 Clinical Research Institution Exhibition and Guangzhou Clinical Research Industry Trade Fair were successfully held at the Guangzhou Canton Fair Exhibition Hall. This event is jointly guided by the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission and the Guangzhou Cooperation Office, and organized by multiple units such as the Guangzhou Hospital Association and Guangdong Cross Procurement Exhibition Co., Ltd. The event focuses on the clinical research capabilities of medical institutions and invites numerous drug and medical device clinical trial institutions as well as biopharmaceutical enterprises to participate in the exhibition.

On the morning of August 24th, the sub forum for the exchange of experience in the operation and management of clinical trial institutions, jointly organized by the Clinical Trial Professional Working Committee of Guangzhou Hospital Association and the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, officially kicked off in Forum Area 2, Building 12.2, Zone B of the Canton Fair Exhibition Hall. President Shu Jianchang, Vice President Qin Dajiang, and Director Wang Hui of the Office of Guangzhou Hospital Association attended the event. This event is chaired by Director Li Yongmei, Director Huang Kaipeng, and Deputy Director Zheng Sichao of the Clinical Trial Professional Working Committee.

Qin Dajiang, Chairman of the Clinical Trial Professional Working Committee of Guangzhou Hospital Association, delivered a speech at the conference. Chairman Qin Dajiang expressed gratitude to the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission and Guangzhou Hospital Association for their support of this sub forum. He pointed out that clinical research, as the cornerstone of medical science development, has played an indispensable role in disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and patient management. The Clinical Trial Professional Working Committee of Guangzhou Hospital Association held this sharing and exchange meeting, aiming to provide a platform for managers and researchers of clinical trial institutions to share their experiences and best practices with each other, in order to better respond to the challenges faced by the industry, enhance their core competitiveness, and create a safer and more efficient clinical trial environment for subjects.

President Shu pointed out in his speech that clinical trials are an important part of drug and medical device research and development before they are launched, and the standardized conduct of clinical trials cannot be separated from the operation and management of institutions. The Clinical Trial Professional Working Committee of Guangzhou Hospital Association is hosting this sub forum with the aim of exploring the construction and management of clinical trial institutions, in order to improve the quality and efficiency of trials, and solve difficulties and pain points in practical operations. I hope to promote communication and cooperation among the industry through the platform established by the Guangzhou Medical Association, and jointly advance the progress of clinical research.

Zhang Xun, Director of the Office of Drug Clinical Trial Institutions at Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Wu Minjiang, Director of the Office of Drug Clinical Trial Institutions at Huizhou Central People's Hospital, and Liu Ping, Director of the Office of Drug Clinical Trial Institutions at Zhengzhou People's Hospital, respectively shared their experiences on the themes of "Exploration and Practice of Performance Management of Drug Clinical Trial Institutions", "Rooted and Developed - Speed and Quality", and "Balancing and Optimizing Efficiency and Quality to Discuss the Operation and Management of Clinical Trial Institutions". During the sharing period, participants actively participated in the discussion, and the atmosphere on site was lively and extraordinary.

This discussion provides a new perspective for improving the quality of clinical trials.
