On December 24-25, the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission held a summary and exchange meeting on the three-year action plan for high-level characteristic hospitals of its affiliated medical institutions. Chen Bin, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Commission, attended the meeting and gave a speech. The leaders in charge of the Commission, the main responsible persons of relevant departments, and the main responsible persons of affiliated medical institutions also attended the meeting. At the meeting, the main person in charge of the affiliated medical institution reported in detail the completion status, existing problems, and next steps of the three-year action plan for the high-level characteristic hospital of our unit. Hospital management experts have given full recognition to the construction projects of high-level characteristic hospitals in our city in the past three years. They appreciate the achievements made by the affiliated medical institutions in the construction of characteristic specialties (disciplines), the development of medical core technologies, information and data support, and talent introduction and training in recent years. They have also put forward opinions and suggestions on how to further enhance clinical specialty capabilities and influence, optimize the construction of high-precision and advanced talent teams, promote the integration of industry, academia and research, and the transformation of scientific research achievements. Chen Bin pointed out that in the past three years, the affiliated medical institutions have taken practical measures, and the three-year action plan for high-level characteristic hospitals has achieved significant results. However, there are still some gaps and deficiencies in hospital refined management, technological innovation capabilities, hospital brand awareness, and public medical experience.

Chen Bin requested that all medical institutions under the commission and relevant departments of the commission should unify their ideological understanding and concentrate on high-quality development. We must deepen the reform of public hospitals guided by public welfare, continue to deepen the demonstration and guidance of party building, and focus on creating characteristic specialties; Secondly, we need to strengthen the construction of connotation, scientifically plan a new round of action plans, focus on leveraging the role of talents, continuously carry out activities to enhance patient experience, and strengthen hospital culture construction; We must strengthen innovative development, focus on seeking innovative development, promote the construction of smart hospitals, strengthen the integration of clinical and scientific research, accelerate the transformation of scientific research results, and effectively carry out the construction of a new round of high-level characteristic hospitals, making new and greater contributions to promoting the high-level construction of medical services and the high-quality development of health care in Guangzhou.
